Tamil actor Dhanush's Bollywood debut Raanjhanaa, which also features Sonam Kapoor, has minted Rs.20.08 crore on its opening weekend in the country. The film, reportedly made at a budget of Rs35 crore, released worldwide Friday (June 21st).
The film is now all set to be Sonam Kapoor’s biggest grosser ever as it would cross the collections of I Hate Luv Storys which had accumulated around 50 crores. With a ‘soon-to-be-a-hit’ tag to boast of, Sonam’s wait to be back in the thick of things is now finally over. As for Dhanush, he has been accepted as a leading man and one now waits to see what he picks next in Bollywood. With the kind of appreciation that he has garnered, he can be expected to stay on for years to come. For producer Krishika Lulla, this could well be beginning of good things to come as her Bajatey Raho, which is looking good, arrives next.
