CCS News and Updates

The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) is a committee constituted by the Government of India. it decides on India's defence expenditure, matters of National Security, and makes significant appointments. The CCS is chaired by the Prime Minister of India and comprises the ministers of major ministries like the Minister of Defence, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Minister of External Affairs.

The CCS is also responsible for reviewing and clearing the National cyber security policy.

Jul 18 2013: The cabinet committee on security (CCS) on Wednesday gave its approval for raising a mountain strike corps along the China border. This would be India's fourth strike corps, meant chiefly for offensive operations into enemy land, as well as India's first dedicated corps for offensive mountain warfare. Source: times of india
