Last Day for Indian Telegram Service : July 14 2013
It is known that India Post has announced the closure of Telegram service three months back. They have initiated all the required aspects and have finalized that they would be closing the service by 9 pm today (14.07.2013).
Telegram service is used to transfer urgent text messages to even remote locations. It is based on a text transfer protocol, where we send a text format with a definite code and the same is printed at the recipient side postal office. Then the post man despacthes the printed text to the destination. With the increased technology and less utilisation of the telegram services, India Post has decided to discontinue the service and use the existing infrastructure for the continuing services.
